What’s your favourite thing about BSMS?
Shaun: Feels like home away from home, I didn’t take some of the medic parents things etc that seriously when I first started but it really is like a family here. I’m actually resitting first year, my personal life unfortunately got incredibly complicated this past year, and not only were student support incredible, I also had a rediculous amount of love and support coming my way from members off staff all over and other students, something I’ll always be thankful for 🥰
Chris: Small classes and inclusivity
What is your best memory of BSMS?
Shaun: I once played my cards right in a seminar and walked away with a pineapple; that was pretty great.
Chris: End of first term exam going to the pub
What would be your dream job if you weren’t doing medicine?
Shaun: I’d be renovating houses, if I had the money it would be a non-profit estate agents providing rentals/mortgagors to families most in need
If you could only eat one food for the rest of your life what would it be?
Shaun: Salad. Want chicken nuggets? Cut them into goujons and it’s still a salad. Fancy a pizza? Fucking salad with dough and olives etc, makes a pizza.
If you could live anywhere in the world where would it be?
Shaun: Hastings, my home town. It’s beautiful for all the reasons of sight and humanity. People can really show themselves when out in hard situations.
Chris: Vancouver Island
