Hey my name is Zahra and I’ll be the Sponsorship Rep this year. That means I’ll be working with lots of sponsors to get lots of funding for Medsoc and our fab events and balls. You can see a list of all our sponsors for this year here!
What’s your favourite thing about BSMS?
How supportive and friendly everyone is – you can talk to everyone and it really does feel like a family
What is your best memory of BSMS?
Some of the everyday things. One of my favourite memories of BSMS is my flat religiously watching Love Island during Freshers, and one night there was 20 of us piling into our tiny living room in Paddock Fields to watch Love Island and having a massive goss about it – it was very cute and one of the things I miss about halls!
What would be your dream job if you weren’t doing medicine?
If I wasn’t doing medicine I’d like to do something creative, dramatic and where you get to talk to a lot of people – maybe theatre, acting or idk, advertising.
What is the scariest thing you’ve ever done?
I’m not really scared of much so I can’t remember? The scariest thing I’ve done recently is probably sing in an auction for the Medic Revue lmao – it’s definitely also one of the funnest things I’ve ever done and you should absolutely do it!
Which celebrity would you most want to be?
Lizzo because she’s iconic, super funny and a role model to so many people by absolutely embracing who she is. Also her flute playing is amazing
