Sponsorship Rep

Sue Sivathas

Hi everyone! My name is Sue Sivathas and I’ll be your sponsorship rep for the coming academic year. I’m currently in third year and I’ve also been a medsoc social secretary in the past, so I can confidently (hopefully) say that medsoc is in good hands!

As the sponsorship rep, I’ll be responsible for working alongside our amazing sponsors to ensure medsoc receives funding for its numerous events, societies, balls, etc. I’ll also be unapologetically spamming the Facebook page, so watch out for those posts!

What’s your favourite thing about BSMS?
At the risk of sounding like a prospectus, I’d have to say my favourite thing is how close knit and friendly everyone is! The year groups are relatively small, and there are so many opportunities to mingle with people in different years. I’m sure nearly everyone else has the same cliché response, but if anything, it should really highlight how we’re truly one big happy family at BSMS!

What is your best memory of BSMS?
Tough one, but definitely the Winter Ball 2018. It was by far the BEST Winter Ball (as co-host and organiser of it, there’s definitely no bias here)!

What would your dream job be if you weren’t doing medicine?
Hmm… I did get full marks in the MI6 online quiz, so I’m not ruling out the possibility of being the next Johnny English (you HAVE to watch it if you haven’t seen it yet!)

What is the best hangover cure?
Spending all day in bed with your mates whilst collectively trying to remember the night before (with Deliveroo on standby of course)

If you could live anywhere in the world where would it be?
I’d say Bora Bora but I’m currently too pora pora (yes I stole this from a meme, SUE me – GET IT HAHAHA)
