Rugby

Captains: Daniel Fleming and Jim Allsopp
Social sec: Freddie Sweeting

BSMS Rugby has been in place since the medical school opened in 2003. Despite having a small squad, the team has gone from strength to strength, winning Best BSMS Sports Team in 2012 whilst narrowly missing out on winning the South East Development League in the same year. The team is expanding and improving year on year, having reached the Sussex Shield final last season playing an opponent 6 leagues above them. Building on last season's success, this years co captains Jim Allsopp and Dan Fleming have decided to rejoin the NAMS league after a 4 year absence following the formation of a new south-east division. At the end of the season the BSMS Men's Rugby team play against the Doctors from the local hospitals; something which is usually a great spectacle.

The rugby team train on Wednesday evenings, 7-9pm on the Falmer 3G pitch next to Paddock Fields halls.
