HIV Education Brighton are a student led society that teach in schools and youth centres about HIV, AIDS and global health. Our mission is to increase the understanding of the global HIV epidemic amongst UK school children and university students with the aim of inspiring them to take action on a national and international scale through peer education, fundraising and volunteer work. Being a volunteer will strengthen numerous skills that will be important in a future career as a doctor including; describing complex scientific ideas in laymen terms, working in a team environment, improving confidence by speaking in front of a group. In addition, the sessions are fun, informal, interactive and an amazing way to make a direct difference in the local community.
